External Provider Recognition and Development

As already introduced in the initial sections of this booklet, a cornerstone of the quality system is “designing, making, selling and constantly improving products of excellent quality”.

The same principles that guide the company in its strategies to maintain customer satisfaction levels and continued improvement, are automatically translated into a common goal for Benelli and its external providers. External providers are responsible for the conformity of their products, systems and processes, as well as for the strategies designed to maximise performance in a global environment, characterised by maximum competitiveness.

For this reason, the Benelli strategy includes implementation of policies aiming to promote the growth of its external providers and recognition of those external providers, who can guarantee constant performance and continued improvements.

External providers must show the utmost commitment to constant improvement of the products and processes supplied to Benelli. Quality management places particular emphasis on prevention of non conformities, rather than on the identification of same.

Benelli encourages its external providers to implement eco-sustainable company systems that make it possible to eliminate processes without added value and to develop error-proof processes, which allow superfluous costs to be reduced or avoided. Cost reduction is an integral part of long-term success for both Benelli and its external providers.

It facilitates the maintenance of high margins of competitiveness and a strong presence on the marketplace.

External providers are obliged to develop and maintain an excellent ability to govern their own production process through continued value analyses.

The external provider’s pro-active approach is an integral part of relational development; Benelli considers this approach to be the basis at the basis of mutual trust and should be encouraged as a boost to improvement.

The development opportunities that Benelli offers are therefore linked to solving technical problems and product development, without underestimating Quality methods (Six Sigma for example), analysis of materials, and also from the point of view of logistics, lean production, etc.

The Procurement and Quality Divisions are responsible for coordinating any requests they may receive about this “browser” and offering the relevant support.
